Session cookies support basic navigation and expire when the browser closes. They are used only where needed for a requested site function. Refusing them may affect a small part of the site experience.

3. Preference cookies

A preference record may remember that a visitor has responded to the consent banner. This record may remain for up to 180 days. It does not contain a health profile or article reading history.

4. Analytics

If optional analytics are enabled, aggregate page activity may be measured for up to 13 months. Analytics are used to understand which pages are useful and whether the site is technically stable. Optional measurement can be declined.

5. Cookie settings

The banner offers Accept All, Reject and Cookie Settings choices. A visitor can clear cookies through browser controls. Changing browsers or devices may require a new preference choice.

6. Third parties

Embedded services, such as a map on the contact page, may set their own technical items. Their operators control those items and publish separate information. Krenova does not use embedded services to request private health details.

Session items expire at close; preference items last up to 180 days; optional analytics settings may last up to 13 months. Actual browser behaviour can vary. Records are reviewed when the site changes.

8. Browser controls

Most browsers allow visitors to delete or block cookies. Help menus explain private browsing, clearing stored data and site-specific settings. Blocking all storage can affect preferences.

9. Cookie names and concrete lifespans

The consent record may use a first-party item named krenova_cookie_consent, normally retained for up to 180 days. A short-lived session item may be named krenova_session and expires when the browser closes. If optional analytics are enabled, an analytics provider may set items such as _ga for up to 13 months and _ga_* for a shorter measurement period, subject to the provider's current configuration.

• c. Clearing cookies removes the local preference and may show the banner again.

10. Legal basis and consent record

Essential items are used because they support a function requested by the visitor. Optional measurement and preference items are used only where the visitor has made an affirmative choice through the consent controls. The choice is recorded so that Krenova can respect it, and the record is normally retained for 180 days before a fresh choice is requested.

A refusal does not prevent access to ordinary editorial pages. Some embedded services may not load until selected, and their own cookies are governed by their own information notices.

11. Changes, questions and complaints

This policy was reviewed on 9 September 2026. It may be updated when cookie names, suppliers or site functions change, with the review date amended to show the latest version. Questions about cookie use can be sent to [email protected]; we aim to acknowledge them within five working days and normally respond within 20 working days.

Visitors who believe a preference has not been respected should include the affected page, approximate time and browser type where known. They should avoid sending private health details or passwords in a message.
